Each chapter deals with an important topic in coastal engineering such as random waves, tsunamis and beach erosion. The topics are of deep concern all over the world motivated by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, 2005 Hurricane Katrina, 2011 Tohoku Earthquake Tsunami, and others. For proper management of coastal zones, a wide variety of knowledge is necessary.
