Claudia Walde has spent two years collecting alphabets by 154 artists from 30 countries with a view to showing the many different styles and approaches to lettering within the graffiti and street art cultures.

This work offers 400 color photos and illustrations celebrating the work of 154 graffiti artists from 30 countries. The book stems from a project that tasked each artist to design 26 letters of the Latin alphabet. Their designs draw on styles ranging from classic old-school graffiti letter forms to modern font designs. The book is intended as a beginners guide for those new to graffiti writing and as a source of inspiration for type designers. It will also appeal to students and general readers.
