With its seven parts and approximately 300 articles, the Palgrave Encyclopaedia of Global Security Studies (PEGSS) highlights the search for a balance in terms of the necessary range of perspectives and skills, as well as a significant focus on nontraditional security issues. The entries were written by authors from all around the world and are split into the following major topic categories: Conflict and Security, Human Rights and Societal Security, Poverty and Economic Security, Environmental Security, Food Security, Energy Security, and Health Security.
