Within the three-book project 'Concepts and Methods for the Study of Chinese Religions', this volume includes an assessment of the earliest works and individuals who initiated the study of religion in Chinese societies, and discusses methodological and disciplinary approaches that are currently usedin the study of Chinese religion in China, Taiwan, and abroad, with constructive conclusions on potential changes in research trajectories.
